Objectives

    1. Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders invested in supporting VA
    2. Identify ways in which VA psychologists can enhance VA from Washington, D.C. leaders
    3. Engage leaders in a discussion about the future of VA

Description:
The VA Psychology Leadership Conference Planning Committee has long considered the idea of hosting a meeting in Washington, D.C. to involve leaders who may not be able to attend the conference in San Antonio, Texas.  This year, we hope to continue the discussion from the 2017 VA Psychology Leadership Conference in an alternate venue in conjunction with the APA annual convention.  Currently, we are developing the program for this one-day event, which will include representatives from Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs), VACO leaders, and representatives from AFGE.  More details to come!

VA psychologists--including program managers, chiefs/lead psychologists, early career psychologists, and psychology trainees--are most welcome!

For more information, contact Mike Martin, Ph.D., VA Psychology Leadership Conference Chair-Elect at dcpsychologysummit@avapl.org.

This conference is co-sponsored by the Association of VA Psychologist Leaders (AVAPL) and Division 18 of APA.
